This would be the last time this happened to Barry Barr because he had an idea; make a better hat. Fast forward nearly 30 years and this beauty is still hand cut and hand sewn in Seattle by the same family. How about that for staying power? The secret in this hat lies in its constructions and materials.

KAVU Founder Barry Barr kept losing his sun hat in the wet rain but the guide had no problems with his reed sloped hat. Once again, an idea was born. The steel ring is made at Ballard Sheet Metal down the street from KAVU HQ and the hat is still made in the Emerald City.
