“There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put
them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious
combinations. We keep on turning and making new combinations indefinitely; but they are the
same old pieces of colored glass that have been in use through all the ages.”― Mark
Twain, Mark Twain's Own Autobiography: The Chapters from the North American
Review
Occasionally someone will look at my surrealistic paintings and try to associate my style with
some famous artist. Mark Twain said there is no such thing as a new idea and he was probably
right. Since we are all connected, and we put our inner selves into paintings, we should
remember that someone somewhere has had similar feelings. However, I never copied any artist
as I developed my surrealistic art. Since the ideas and creation come from within, I call them
Peggy’s World. Some have joked that I do have a strange world.
I use the same color pallet (selection of colors) to paint Representational Realism and my
Surrealistic art. I use the primary colors (red, yellow, and blue), Paynes Gray, white, and some
earth tones to either bring out the brilliance of surrealism that pops or paint the more subdued
tones of Representational Realism art.
When we come to the point of creating art from within, no matter the genre, we have officially
become artists. Through our art, we express our feelings, emotions, fears, delights, and all our
emotions as well as messages we want to share.
I encourage you to find your voice, as a writer would have in his or her manuscripts. Let the
canvas tell your story. Share with the outside world. Enjoy and create.

Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is important and everything. However think about if you added some great visuals or videos to give your posts
more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and video clips, this blog could
certainly be one of the very best in its niche. Fantastic blog!
That is a very good idea. I will work on that. Thank you Peggy
